Your treasured memorial jewellery is hand crafted by our highly skilled team. The Ashes Memorial Jewellery team create your special jewellery with great care, compassion, and skill. Find out more about the Ashes Memorial Jewellery team below.

Julia is the owner of Ashes Memorial Jewellery. Julia is a highly trained jeweller and silversmith who trained at the Birmingham Jewellery School back in 2001.
Julia created Ashes Memorial Jewellery in 2016 after sadly losing several family members. She was uninspired by the memorial jewellery and keepsakes on offer at the time of her grief. Julia’s passion for handmade jewellery and love for unusual jewellery design was the catalyst for the creation of Ashes Memorial Jewellery.
Julia proudly has her specialist Woodland memorial jewellery workshop in the heart of the Staffordshire Countryside. Julia’s compassion for her customers, striking jewellery designs and unrivalled memorial jewellery innovation has seen Ashes Memorial Jewellery go from strength to strength. AMJ is now one of the largest handmade memorial jewellery specialists in the UK and she is one of the few female Ashes jewellery business owners.

Mark is in charge of logic’s, dispatch and operations. Mark has worked with Julia for over 20 years and he is integral to the day to day running of Ashes Memorial Jewellery. Mark has several key roles, including packing and dispatching all our customer treasured orders and brochure packs. He is also the main contact for all of our Birmingham Jewellery Quarter suppliers.
Mark has a wealth of managerial and administrative skills. Before joining Ashes Memorial Jewellery, he spent over 40 years in the Windscreen business. He enjoys working with our suppliers and building strong business relationships. Mark also has close communication with our customers to ensure they feel comforted and reassured while we are creating their special memorial jewellery.

Meet Jessie, our beloved office cat and the undisputed Head of Quality Control here at Ashes Memorial Jewellery. Jessie takes her role very seriously. She keeps Julia firmly on her toes, especially when an important email needs typing and Jessie decides it is the perfect time for a cuddle or a stroll across the keyboard. Between her frequent nap breaks and occasional bursts of supervision.
Jessie makes sure everything at AMJ meets her high standards, provided there is a treat or two involved. Let’s be honest, Julia might think she is the boss, but everyone knows Jessie is the real one and we would not have it any other way.

About Ashes Memorial Jewellery
Ashes Memorial Jewellery was founded by Julia Usher. Julia trained as a contemporary jeweller and silversmith at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, located in the heart of the jewellery quarter and has been an established jeweller for 14 years. Ashes Memorial Jewellery was founded after Julia lost a loved one and she was unable to find any unusual memorial jewellery to commemorate her loved one. Julia spent a year developing the first collection of signature memorial jewellery and developed the technique of rolling cremation ashes or hair onto silver or gold.
Ashes Memorial Jewellery has a specialist workshop in Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire. Your ashes jewellery will be handcrafted to a very high standard by one of our specialist jewellers. We pride our business on offering a truly personal and caring service. We work very closely with all our customers. Our aim is not only to create a beautiful piece of jewellery but to create a unique treasure that you can keep close to you forever. Ashes Memorial Jewellery is a manufacturing workshop and we do not have a shop or showroom. Our workshop is up a flight of stairs and owing to our insurance and nature of the hazardous equipment within our workshop we are unable accommodate visitors. You are however most welcome to drop off your loved one’s ashes via prior appointment. Please call 01283 260245 after placing your order if you would like to do this. If you also have any questions regarding the jewellery please don’t hesitate to call us.
